Saw X

Saw X is the tenth installment in the Saw film series, that serves as both a direct sequel to Saw (2004) and a prequel to Saw II (2005). In case you haven’t been paying attention to the last 7 releases, it’s okay to straight jump into this one!

Led by a franchise-best performance from Tobin Bell (who died in Saw III), Saw X reinvigorates the series with an installment that has a surprising amount of heart to go with all the gore.

Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer — only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable.

Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.

It’s thoroughly unpleasant, but that’s rather the point.
