They came out of nowhere and killed 95% of the human population. Surviving humans discovered they were safe at heights above 8000 feet (2200m) and little colonies of survivors live together with whatever they can find.

Set in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women need to venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy.

Beautiful scenery and a solid star turn from Anthony Mackie. A briskly paced post-apocalyptic action thriller. An effective thriller very much in the pattern of A Quiet Place and there is nothing wrong with that.

What was The Flicks?

The legendary Flicks Community Movie Houses were the most comfortable little movie theaters in Phnom Penh, from June 2009 to August 2021, showcasing the blockbusters, documentaries, foreign films and international film festival winners on the big screens in a fully air-conditioned movie rooms that seated 32 people.
