About My Father

Sweet and heartfelt, About My Father is a fun family movie that has some serious moments and plenty of laughs.

The film centers around Sebastian who is encouraged by his fiancée to bring his immigrant, hairdresser father, Salvo (Robert De Niro), to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche).

The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover that the great thing about family is everything about family.

What was The Flicks?

The legendary Flicks Community Movie House was the most comfortable little movie theater in Phnom Penh, from June 2009 to August 2021, showcasing the blockbusters, documentaries, foreign films and international film festival winners on the big screen in a fully air-conditioned movie room that seated 32 people.
